The Kureha Company’s fluorocarbons, Riverge, Grand Max, Seaguar and Reel-Soft have a achieved a solid reputation for performance and reliability since their introduction. Riverge, our original introduction rapidly became the favourite with many game anglers, it outperformed then, and still does, other brands of fluorocarbons due to the over 25 years of research by Kureha Chemicals.
In 1997 Riverge won an EMAP award for Best Accessory, since then Grand Max was launched followed by Seaguar, Reel-Soft and now Grand Max Soft all especially formulated to give different characteristics.
All our fluorocarbons have the following, in common, their refractive index is nearly the same as water making them nearly invisible in water, their breaking strains compared to diameter are exceptionally strong, they also knot well and have a high resistance to fatigue.
WE RECOMMEND THAT ANGLERS SHOULD WORK BY DIAMETERS AND USE THE STRENGTH OF OUR FLUOROCARBONS TO THEIR ADVANTAGE
Grand Max Soft-Plus is 10% stronger than Grand Max and is also softer making it suitable for both trout fishing and specimen coarse fishing.
Riverge is slightly stiffer and particularly suitable for fishing with droppers. The most popular sizes are 2X, 3X & 4X. Many competition fisherman use 2X knowing that even at this diameter Riverge will not scare fish.
Grand Max is slightly softer than Riverge and has a higher breaking strength for a given diameter. Available in a large range of sizes from 8X (2.4lbs.B.S.) to 55lbs.B.S.Most popular sizes 5X to 1X.
Seaguar is stiffer than Riverge and has a very high resistance to abrasion on rocks etc.. Seaguar, knots and casts very well with its stiffness helping to turn over large flies.
Although originally formulated for salt water fishing it is now considered to be the essential leader for both salmon & saltwater.
The best sellers are 13, 15, 19, & 23 lbs.
Reel-Soft is the softest of our fluorocarbons to make it lay properly on both fixed spool and multiplier reels.
Reel-Soft is abrasion resistant with minimum stretch, virtually invisible to the fish and is achieving a good reputation since its introduction.

Riverge "Reel-Soft", pure fluorocarbon line has been subjected to extensive and rigorous testing. The line proved as popular with testers as its legendary stable mates Riverge and Grand Max. Reel-Soft was found to be utterly reliable.

Reel-Soft is manufactured using 100% fluorocarbon. Reel-Soft is invisable in water, having very low memory but with outstanding abrasion resistance. These advantages will catch you more fish.
Reel-Soft fluorocarbon has a unique multi-directional polymer structure, giving reinforced strength on the knot. Other fluorocarbons have uni-directional structures, and therefore have a weaker knot strength.
Reel-Soft also offers invisibility, high strength to diameter ratio and UV resistance.

Paftex nets are made in France and have been customised for the UK market. The nets are all light and robust for their size with an easy flip up action, belt clip and adjustable grip on certain models. The locking device on the net heads is secure and functions easily. The largest of the nets can handle fish up to 20lbs with ease.
