After the success of the Hybrid it was always inevitable that we would develop both a braided hooklink and a ‘soft’ version of the ever popular Hybrid material.
We wanted to have the most superior range of hooklinks to service different angling situations. That doesn’t mean releasing 80 types with 4 breaking strains in each. However with the Hybrid Stiff, Hybrid Soft and Supernatural braid we know we have the highest quality hooklinks that will cater for every eventuality.
The Hybrid ‘stiff’ is the only genuine combi-link material which has a significant contrast in stiffness between inner core and outer coating.
The Hybrid ‘Soft’ has been extensively tested during 2007 catching many 50lb plus fish and a 60lb fish during its vigilant testing. It has already established itself as a, favourite in many big fish anglers tackle boxes.
Finally the Supernatural gives you the most uniquely supple, thin and soft braid on the market, if it’s a ‘wise’ carp you’re targeting then you won’t go far wrong with this.
Here are a few rigs we recommend with the different hooklinks:
Sliding Ring Rig

The required components; Hybrid Soft, Micro rig ring, Wide Gape hooks, Safe Zone shrink tube.

Once the knot is tied, secure the rig ring with the aid of a double granny knot.

Use a small 7.5mm piece of shrink tube, in-turned, coupled with the rig ring for excellent hookholds.
KD Rig

The Supernatural hooklink is the ultimate supple braid.

Use a knotless knot, but firstly turn twice above the hair, then 5 times below the hair so that the hair leaves the hook near the eye.

Now add a shot about 2mm below the bait, this is a no.1 and perfectly balances a 14mm pop-up. A supernatural presentation.
Hybrid Stiff Snowman

For a deadly combi-link use the new Hybrid stiff.

You will need a Korda ‘Strippa’ tool to take the coating off the Hybrid stiff.

With the shrink tube in-turned and the Longshank X hook, you have a very effective boilie presentation.
ADRENA-LINE
THE
EVOLUTION
The design brief seemed simple – produce a line that cast better than any other on the market. A year further on and with many samples behind us we have not only reached our target but far surpassed it!
What has surprised us even more is that not only is Adrena-line the ultimate long distance casting monofilament, it also has immense strength and abrasion resistance qualities for its diameter.
HONEST, RELIABLE & ACCURATE
Korda Adrena-Line is accurately rated for breaking strain which means that on a grinner knot it will break at just over its stated breaking strain.
What does this mean for the angler? Because Adrena-Line is honestly rated, it means that the angler knows exactly what to expect from it and because it is generally lower in diameter than other 12lbs lines, it will cast further too!!
IRON FIST IN A SILK GLOVE
But these aspects alone aren’t enough to make Adrena-Line truly stand out from the crowd…
The line has a remarkably limp, supple finish that is softer than anything we have seen allowing it to be cast astonishing distances with ease.
Adrena-Line was designed first and foremost as a casting line, so it was a very pleasant surprise to find that it out performed several lines that are perceived as being market leaders for abrasion resistance. It appeared at this stage that we had a very special line on our hands and lengthy field testing began. Over the course of summer and winter 2007 it was used to great effect with our field testers taking ten 50lb plus carp while long range, distance casting at demanding foreign venues. Our own Damian Clarke landed his personal best of 55lbs while young Tom Dove caught his best overseas fish at 47lb plus backed up with another 40. The boss used it too and had a phenomenal catch including a new PB of over 60lbs!
The finished article is the first line from Korda and one that we are very proud of; it has proved itself to be an outstanding performer both in the laboratory and on the bank with few other lines coming even close to matching its all round capabilities.
NEW FROM KORDA
The Strippa Tool
• The unique Strippa tool is a simple but extremely effective device that can be used for all coated hooklink materials, making it an absolute must have item for any serious carp angler.
• Small neat product manufactured with Anodised Aluminium, in British Racing Green.
• This truly is a nail & teeth saviour for those anglers who love using coated hooklinks.
1. Firstly thread the Hybrid material through the hole on the back of the Strippa tool.
2. Gently pull back the material into the groove at the point where you want to strip the coating.
3. Hold your finger around the braid protruding from the Strippa and then pull back against the tool from the opposite side. This will strip the coating.
4. Your hooklink will now be stripped of coating with absolutely no damage to the inner braid. The perfect tool for the job.
Baiting Tools
• Baiting tools are an important part of any carp angler’s kit, some people are happy to use one needle for everything; however, being as we are self confessed perfectionists, we like to use exactly the right tools for the Job.
• Mega bright colours for people like Danny who are constantly loosing them. The colour coding also helps you to pick out the right needle from even the messiest tackle box. For those of you that aren’t keen on the colours we have also made them in a dull carpy green.
• Four needles in total.
Heavy Latch Needle - Bright Green Handle
Ideal for use with boilies and particles
Fine Latch Needle - Purple Handle
Ideal for use with soft boilies, soft pellets, sweetcorn or splicing.
Heavy Latch Stik Needle - Red Handle
Ideal for pulling hooklinks through sticks or making stringers
Braided Hair Needle - Yellow Handle
Ideal for hairs made with braid so it won’t get caught in the fibres
The Pulla
• Specially designed so you can pull knots tight on hooklinks with ease.
• Great for testing the strength of your rigs; you can easily pull 10lb of pressure with your hands, if your rigs stand up to this then unless something gets damaged there is no way it should fail you in a fishing situation.
• 2mm stainless steel hook fits perfectly through a Korda size 8 swivel or a link loop.
• Makes tying rigs much easier, we all know that holding the swivel and tightening up can be a fiddly job.
Safe Zone Anti Tangle Sleeves
• Specially designed to reduce tangles.
• Helps push the hooklink away from the lead.
• When using coated hooklinks such as Hybrid or fluorocarbons like IQ, the rig will work best when the hooklink is laid out straight and away from the lead system.
• Incorporate these sleeves in your set up and you will increase the effectiveness of your rig, this will help turn more bites into hooked fish.
• Manufactured in the four primary lakebed colours; Gravel, Weed, Clay & Silt.
• We have proved on the Underwater films that matching your components to the spot you are fishing will make a huge difference to your catch rates.
• Designed from an original idea of
Frank Warwicks.
Hybrid Lead Clips
Hybrid lead clips have finally arrived after an extensive three year testing and development period. This was necessary in order to ensure the clips performed at peak performance in terms of both fish safety and rig efficiency; an objective we feel we have achieved in full!
• Features an integrally moulded Ring Swivel ensuring that the swivel simply cannot pull free from its housing. This forces lead ejection in the event of it becoming jammed ensuring that carp can be landed easily in weedy, snaggy conditions.
• Streamlined one piece design means there are no fiddly locking pegs or hinges to worry about – just connect the leader to one end and the rig to the other!
• Up rated arm allows leads up to 5ozs to be cast safely even at extreme range.
• Available in all four of the key translucent Safe Zone colours; Weed, Gravel, Silt & Clay.
• Specially designed to hold your hook bait on the hair safely and securely
• Can be used to adjust the gap between your bait and hook with ease.
• Change the size of the hookbait from anywhere between 16mm & 24mm without having to tie a new rig- simple!
• Very difficult for Crayfish to pull them off, making them a must when fishing abroad on shellfish inhabited waters.
Extenda Stops
Safe Zone Run Rig Rubbers
• Specially designed for use with running rigs incorporating Safe Zone Leaders, Leadcore or our Rig Tube.
• Like no other Run Rig bead available, a shoulder has been angled on the rubber at 30 degrees meaning the Big Eyed Swivel on a Korda Lead sits at a much better angle than any standard running rig set up.
• Will not only minimise the chance of any tangles but will also help getting those extra few yards when fishing at long range.
• Soft rubber compound designed to hold the swivel and rig tube securely.
• Available in the four key lakebed colours; Weed, Gravel, Silt & Clay.
