Kaptor hooks

Kaptor marks the next step in the evolution of the carp hook. It is the first true coloured PTFE hook, the coating has been applied to all but the point of the hook, leaving it coating free which gives an increased sharpness to each and every hook. Every point is then ‘Kapped’ to prevent damage. Packed and clipped into a bespoke box for safe storage. This range is available in Wide Gape and Kurv Shank patterns in both barbed and barbless with others to follow.
There are two colours in the range weedy green and gravely brown which, like any Korda products has been matched to real life colours to ensure ultimate rig camouflage.
Mouth Trap

Korda Mouth trap is a revolutionary new material that enables anybody to tie perfectly curved stiff rigs quickly and easily. The incredibly low memory makes tying even short rigs simple and the slightest kinks or creases are easily smoothed out without requiring steam.
Unobtrusive ‘carpy’ green tint
Curves perfectly
Guaranteed knot strength
Super stiff and easy to tie
The Chod Rig
Quite possibly one of the most popular rig arraignments to date accounting for hundreds of carp up and down the country.
How do you tie a chod rig? This is one of the most frequently asked questions we get here at Korda Developments, if you follow the steps below you too will be tie the perfect Cod rig.
Components
Needed
New Korda 20lb Mouthtrap Chod filament
Korda size 6 Choddy hook
Korda small rig rings
Korda size 11 ring swivel

Cut 6” of Chod filament from the spool and put this through the eye of a Choddy hook so there is an 1” tag end protruding from the back of the hook

Whip the Mouth trap round the hook shank 6 times

Once you have whipped the Mouth trap round pass it through the back of the hook

Put a small Korda rig ring onto the tag end

Pass the tag end through the back of the hook

Pull the tag end to close up the loop you have created

Using a lighter carefully ‘blob’ the tag end taking great care not to damage the hooklink

Now tie a two turn blood knot

Snip any excess Mouth trap off, leaving a 3-4mm tag

Once again take a lighter and carefully ‘blob’ this small tag

This is how your rig should look when it is completed!
