Lightweight material
Millions of tiny air bubbles are captured inside the special lightweight polyurethane when it is made, which reduces the weight of the boots. This is a really important comfort factor.
Special insulation properties
The millions of tiny air bubbles inside the PU act as additional insulation, so together with the warm and cosy wool lining which is blended with synthetic for extra strength, feet keep warm whatever the weather.
Waterproof
Polyurethane is a 100% waterproof material, and even though these boots are full of weightless air bubbles, since they are captured inside the PU, they are totally waterproof. Also since polyurethane boots are made with a sophisticated one piece mould, there are no seams or joints that might leak.

Polyurethane is a highly durable material.

Polyurethane stays soft and flexible, even at very low temperatures.

Warm lining
The mixed wool and synthetic lining is the best possible material, because of its ability to both capture and transport moisture away from the foot. The wool insulates and the synthetic is added for extra strength.

Viking Thermo boots are built on a Nordic fit which is wider than the regular European fit. These boots are designed specifically for Scandinavian winters where it is very important that feet don't get cold. There is "wriggle room" for the toes, so that they don't freeze.
