On its lower side the worm is fine grained whilst the upper side is flat so a sudden pull turns then un-turns the bait to give a perfect imitation of a real twisting worm. When Wacky-Style fishing it is advisable to put the hook through the flat side to increase water resistance and create an even more natural movement.
The Wriggle Worm has a small slit and can, therefore, also be presented on the Offset Hook and twitched with Texas or Carolina rigs. Experts prefer to fish it with the Drop Shot system, simply hooked at the thick end of the head and the inclusion of real fish oil increases the irresistibility of the bait.
