The Silure rods have been thoroughly tested not only on some of Europe’s premier big catfish venues, but also saltwater fishing on the African West coast and hunting the mighty Amazonian Arapaïmas.
As the name suggests, the 6ft Silure X Clonk rod has been designed for fishing the devastating ‘clonk’ method. This extremely effective technique is used from a boat, right under the rod tip and has accounted for many giant catfish from all over Europe. These close range tactics with such powerful fish require a rod that is forgiving and shock absorbing with a parabolic action. The Silure Clonk offers these attributes together with the power reserves further down the butt section to tame the very biggest catfish.
